ภายใต้พระอุปถัมภ์ของ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา ปรากฏการณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมครั้งสำคัญกำลังจะเกิดขึ้น ณ Musée des Arts Décoratifs ใจกลางกรุงปารีส ระหว่างวันที่ 13 พฤษภาคม ถึง 1 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2569 นิทรรศการ “La Mode en Majesté – Royal Thai Dress: From Tradition to Modernity” คือบทพิสูจน์ถึงความสง่างามของผ้าไทยที่เดินทางข้ามผ่านกาลเวลา จากมรดกในราชสำนักสู่การเป็นงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยบนเวทีโลก
ความพิเศษของนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้คือการรวบรวมผลงานระดับมาสเตอร์พีซกว่า 200 ชิ้นมาจัดแสดง โดยเน้นไปที่วิวัฒนาการของเครื่องแต่งกายราชสำนักผ่านฉลองพระองค์ของ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง, สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสุทิดา พัชรสุธาพิมลลักษณ พระบรมราชินี และ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา ไฮไลต์ที่น่าจับตาคือการเผยให้เห็นความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างดีไซน์ระดับสากลอย่าง ปิแอร์ บัลแมง (Pierre Balmain) และงานปักชั้นสูงจากสถาบัน Lesage ที่ร่วมกันถ่ายทอดความประณีตของหัตถศิลป์ไทยเคียงคู่ไปกับผลงานของนักออกแบบชาวไทยรุ่นใหม่
การจัดงานในครั้งนี้ยังเป็นวาระแห่งการเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–ฝรั่งเศส ครบรอบ 340 ปี และ 170 ปีแห่งการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์อย่างเป็นทางการ (ค.ศ. 1856–2026) โดยอาศัยความร่วมมือจากองค์กรชั้นนำอย่าง สถาบันส่งเสริมศิลปหัตถกรรมไทย (sacit) และ พิพิธภัณฑ์ผ้าในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ฯ เพื่อชูบทบาทของ “ชุดไทยพระราชนิยมทั้ง 8 แบบ” ในฐานะเครื่องมือทางวัฒนธรรมที่ทรงพลัง
นิทรรศการนี้จึงเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการผลักดันให้ ‘ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม’ ได้รับการยกย่องจาก UNESCO ให้เป็น มรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรมของโลก ภายในปี 2569 นี้ ‘La Mode en Majesté’ จึงไม่ใช่แค่การโชว์เสื้อผ้าที่สวยงาม แต่เป็นการประกาศศักดิ์ศรีและศาสตร์แห่งงานช่างไทยที่ถักทอขึ้นอย่างประณีต เพื่อฝากไว้เป็นสมบัติอันล้ำค่าของคนทั้งโลกอย่างแท้จริง

Under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, a monumental cultural phenomenon is set to unfold at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the heart of Paris. From May 13 to November 1, 2026, the exhibition “La Mode en Majesté – Royal Thai Dress: From Tradition to Modernity” will stand as a testament to the timeless elegance of Thai textiles—tracing their journey from royal heritage to contemporary masterpieces on the global stage.
This extraordinary exhibition brings together over 200 masterpieces, spotlighting the evolution of royal attire through the exquisite wardrobes of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. A key highlight is the unveiling of the profound artistic dialogue between legendary French couturier Pierre Balmain, the prestigious Maison Lesage, and contemporary Thai designers, all showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of Thai artistry alongside international haute couture.
The event also commemorates a historic double anniversary: 340 years of Thai-French relations and 170 years of formal diplomatic ties (1856–2026). Collaboratively organized by leading institutions, including the Sustainable Arts and Crafts Institute of Thailand (sacit) and the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, the exhibition celebrates the “Eight Styles of Thai Royal Dress” as powerful symbols of cultural identity.
Ultimately, this exhibition marks a significant step in the initiative to nominate the ‘Thai Royal Dress’ for UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2026. “La Mode en Majesté” is far more than a display of beautiful garments; it is a profound declaration of Thai heritage and craftsmanship, woven with precision to be shared as a cherished treasure for the world.
